What is HM Construction Club?
Our Construction & Engineering Group partners – all experts in law across the built environment and beyond – looked to create a space where representatives from across the sector could come together for learning, topical discussion and networking. That is how ‘HM Construction Club’ was born.
We want to make HM Construction Club a destination which is strongly representative of the Scottish construction & engineering sector, and that is why we offer events as well as our members club on LinkedIn.
Our Club is targeted at professionals from across the construction & engineering sector, including developers, main contractors, sub-contractors, funders, consultants and buyers of construction services.
We welcome not only existing clients, but also the wider industry to join us.

The Members’ Room, located on the HM Construction Club LinkedIn page, is an online hub which aims to keep you in touch with current issues that are important to you. Where the law affecting the construction industry is constantly evolving, regular news and updates will be uploaded to keep members abreast of latest developments in legislation and case law.

Overview
Our breadth of expertise in contentious and non-contentious matters means that our Construction Team can offer a full range of advice and representation – be it at adjudication, arbitration, mediation or court.
We provide dispute resolution services to a wide range of key contributors to the construction industry; from small sub-contractors to large housing associations and major developers. By regularly providing advice on the management and resolution of contentious issues from an early stage, we work closely alongside our clients throughout the course of a construction project, to ensure that works progress as smoothly as possible.
We provide a joined up approach to disputes by working closely with our colleagues in Infrastructure & Projects and Real Estate, of whom have close working relationships with leading operators in Scotland’s property and construction industry. Often, the nature of these disputes gives rise to the need to work alongside the insurers who underwrite these claims, meaning that we are acutely aware of the value and importance in continually assessing prospects of success, identifying the best method of recovery and recognising potential scope for settlement.
