Rory advises clients with a wide range of employment issues and his expertise includes the drafting of employment contracts tailored to an employer’s needs for a specific role. He advises upon and prepares settlement agreements for clients in instances where individuals are exiting from a business.
Rory also provides advice and guidance, ensuring that clients are able to move forward constructively with the right legal support in order to manage any risks that may be identified whilst having a focus on achieving commercially orientated outcomes. He also conducts reviews of human resources procedures and documentation to ensure the correct framework is in place for employers to manage the employment relationship with their employees. Clients will be in the knowledge that they have the necessary tools at their disposal if the circumstances arise to use them.
He will support employers through any difficulties that an employer may face with their employees, be that issues with performance management or problems with conduct or compliance. His advice will centre upon achieving a swift solution to the situation that has arisen, whilst steering the client through the legal obligations and associated risks, in order to minimise any disruption to the organisation.
Rory has advised clients on restructures, the application of the TUPE Regulations to business transfers and service provision changes, as well as supporting clients through redundancy situations.
He has experience advising individuals on matters including dismissals, disciplinary issues and grievances.
